Service Layer

CitySoft utilizes SAP’s Service Layer to create bespoke integrations for clients and integrations with leading cloud applications.

The SAP Business One Service Layer is a new generation of extension APIs for consuming SAP Business One data and services. It builds on core protocols such as HTTP and OData and provides a uniform way to expose full-featured business objects on top of a highly scalable and high-availability web server. Service Layer currently supports OData version 3, version 4, and a few selected OData client libraries, for example, WCF for .Net developers and data.js for JavaScript developers. The SAP Business One Service Layer also supports OIDC & OAuth 2.0.

SAP’s Service Layer provides CitySoft with a streamlined process to expose the SAP APIs to 3rd party systems so that two-way data with data validation can occur. CitySoft’s technical consultants also use SAP’s Service Layer to add granular levels of control over user access to data.
