Sage released a product roadmap review at the recent Sage Partner Summit details of which are summarized below.

The Sage X3 roadmap reflects the market’s requirements of –

  1. Simplification & ease of use
  2. Industry vertical depth
  3. Integrations & Extensibility
  4. Ease of implementations & upgrades
  5. Cloud experiences

The Sage X3 three-year strategic initiatives align with the delivery of incremental value designed to support the business needs of Sage X3 clients.

  1. Drive optimised user experiences & automation
  2. Deliver support for new business models & smart operations
  3. Provide optimised cloud experiences

The roadmap focuses on Automation, Integrations and extensibility, Ease of use and user experience and Cloud experience and includes such things as Ai for fast close financials; continued delivery of API’s and creation of custom API end points; dynamic process flows and provisioning portal, multi-tenancy and customization in the Cloud.

The roadmap also targets patching processes with a focus on creating low-touch product updates. Sage is focused on ongoing improvements to the Sage X3 platform usability, maintenance and conformance. There is a focus on expanding on core functionality for finance, distribution, manufacturing and project management.

The Sage X3 Roadmap also has a focus on delivering industry-specific enhancements including additional ADC mobile warehouse license functionality, NPI also known as product lifecycle management of PLM; Web scheduling, controlled sourcing, project management and the introduction of resource management.
